Western Viti Levu
During this tour your first stop will be at the “Garden of the Sleeping Giant” which houses the biggest Orchid collection in the South Pacific. Founded 1977 by Raymond Burr, the garden is nestled in a shady valley and shows not only orchids but also a spectacular assortment of other tropical plants.
After a relaxing walk through the garden you will carry on to Viseisei Village which is said to be the landing site of the first settlers in Fiji. An indigenous guide will take you through the village and explains the history from times of cannibalism until today.
Nadi Town is dominated by the Indo-Fijian part of the population. Here you can see the largest Hindu Temple in the southern hemisphere, visit the colorful fruit and vegetable market and stroll through the town.
Before we head back to your hotel you’ll have some time to by handicrafts and souvenirs.
