Unique Navala Village

Enjoy a comfortable ride in a 4x4 vehicle along Viti Levu’s scenic west coast to the sugar city of Lautoka and on to the small town of Ba. There we will leave the tar sealed road and head inland through sugarcane fields and into the ragged hills. After a few stops where fantastic pictures are all but guaranteed, we will then reach Navala village and carry on to Boulo’s Lodge, only another 1km down the road. Ratu Talili, the village leader, and his family will be more than happy to welcome us in the traditional Fijian way, serve a bowl of Kava and tell tales of old and elaborate on how Navala has become the last village in Fiji that consists of only traditional thatched houses.

From the lodge, we head to the river bank right next to the lodge, take a break for a refreshing swim and its time for a short ride on a “Bilibili” (bamboo raft) while the Boulo Lodge prepares a typical Fijian lunch. After lunch Ratu Talili will take us to Navala, he’ll walk with us through this unique village and explain more about the Fijian way of life.

This fun-packed day then concludes with warm memories of experiences from true Fijian hospitality as we depart from this laid back paradise and head back along the coast to your hotel drop off.
