The heart of Polynesia
Fa'a Samoa is the word that defines the traditional Samoan way of life, which has survived for over 3000 years and continues to play an important role in the villages and in community life.
Samoa is made up of 10 smaller islands and 2 main islands; Savai'i, with extensive tropical forests, volcanic craters and lava fields, and Upolu, which include its fertile valleys dotted with waterfalls that flow into a belt of idyllic beaches.
Their villages with typical houses called "fales", and its unhurried traditional activity, constitute an additional attraction for visitors. It is no wonder that notables as the writer and adventurer Robert Louis Stevenson made Samoa his home.
